A word about Long View Ranch...

We are excited to be a new and growing camp. Est. 1998.

Long View Ranch is a non-denominational Christian Camp, directed and run by the Widmaier Family.  It is aptly named for the incredible long distance view of the west side of the Smoky Mountains and for the eternal perspective of the life that is for all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Our activities are designed to provide a fun, safe program that earns us the opportunity to challenge kids and adults with Biblical truths.  Several of the activities are designed to provide situations where choices are made and the results of those decisions will be discussed at the conclusion of the event or day.  Biblical applications come to life from the evaluations of the day’s enjoyable events.

The goal of LVR is to impact lives- not just for the day or week of camp, but for the “long view” of eternity.

Our Location... Long View Ranch is located in Mosheim, TN, approximately one hour east of Knoxville tucked away in northeast Tennessee.  We are conveniently located to many scenic, historic, and recreational sites.

We have built 4 Log-siding bunkhouses that accommodate over 100 in total with wooden bunks and comfortable mattresses to bed down on.  All cabins have private indoor bathroom facilities.  Each cabin is named after a different Mountain located near LVR.  All cabins have a wonderful porch to hang out on with friends and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.

Our Dining Hall/ Multipurpose room has a large wrap around porch facing the Smoky Mountains. This Winter we are working on expanding the Dining Hall. It will have a finished basement with extra rooms, a fireplace and stage. When completed the Dining Hall will be 3000 sq ft. Campers enjoy many great home cooked country meals while taking in the view.  The tables can be quickly converted into benches for our meetings and praise and worship.

Long View Ranch has 19 beautiful horses that we use for our camp programs. These horses enjoy a large 10 stall barn, equipped with enclosed tack room and feed storage, three large green pastures for grazing, and a riding ring for giving lessons.

“This is the best food ever”, We hear that a lot of Long View.  The cooking here is done by dedicated volunteers who cook, clean, and serve all day long.  They sure do a great job, and we hear it from the campers all the time.  Most recipes are favorites passed down from loved family and friends.  Campers also get to enjoy some campfire cooking.
